Well, she did it. Aunty Ida has now edged out Paradox for the lead! It’s tight race, but she’s ahead.
Paradox: 1,214 overall and #25 in Humor, #40 in Sci-Fi.
Aunty Ida’s: 1,103 overall, #24 in Humor (they’re neighbors!) and #34 in Sci-Fi.
Aunty Ida’s not surprised. She shouldn’t get too comfortable, though, her lead’s not that great.
Well, Paradox is still leading, but barely. Never rule out a madish scientist, even if you have time on your side.
Paradox: 1,349 overall, and #29 (woo-hoo) in Humor, #44 in Sci-Fi.
Aunty Ida: 1,658 overall, #37 in Humor and #59 in Sci-Fi.
I hear engines. Don’t forget you have until 11:59 p.m. Pacific to get your free books.
So Paradox is still ahead over Aunty Ida, and has even broken into the Sci-Fi Charts!
Here’s the breakdown:
Paradox: 1,823 overall, #41 in Humor and #67 in Science-Fiction.
Aunty Ida: 2,602 overall, #66 in Humor.
But looking at the downloads, it’s not over yet.
Ok, so The Great Paradox and the Innies and Outies of Time Management is completely beating Aunty Ida’s Full-Service Mental Institution (by Invitation Only). Both have broken into the Humor charts:
Paradox: 2,558 in the free store and #66 in Humor;
Aunty Ida: 3,422 and #83 in Humor.
Aunty Ida is unsettlingly nonchalant, but Paradox does have a time on its side. Both are free until 11:59 p.m. Pacific, so it’s still anyone’s game.
Just a reminder that BOTH of my books, The Great Paradox and the Innies and Outies of Time Management and Aunty Ida’s Full-Service Mental Institution (by Invitation Only) are FREE today only, April 27.
And I’m racing them.
Updates to come. Grab them both!
So my poor book The Great Paradox and the Innies and Outies of Time Management — a quirky, fun sci-fi read — was bummed that it hadn’t had a free promotion (yes a book can be bummed. You should try listening to your literature some time).
Of course Aunty Ida wasn’t having that, or more specifically, Aunty Ida insisted that if Paradox was being given away, her book, Aunty Ida’s Full-Service Mental Institution (by Invitation Only) could not be left out.
And so it was done.
On April 27, 2012 only, both books are free in the Kindle store at Amazon! Download one. Better, download both. And Aunty Ida’s competitive streak gave me an idea.
We’re going to race them.
Let’s see which book gets better position in the free store tomorrow. I’ll keep you posted.
I’m late, which is ironic if you head over to Kicking Corners and read my guest blog today. It’s a little piece of micro-fiction called “It’s About Time” I really should have heeded, as suddenly it’s 2:00 and my list looks a lot like it did earlier.
DB Stevens, Kicking Corner’s most gracious and entertaining hostess, is not tardy, however, which makes her blog the perfect place to visit when other people who I won’t name but whose name rhymes with “Me” (actually, when you think about it, it really does) are slacking in the fun department.
Every Thursday, Kicking Corners features a 300-word post, and it’s much more challenging that you might think, especially for the wordy among us. So click already, and spend some time, there are all kinds of great bits of reading to discover.
